Temporary Water Shortage

Johnston County Temporary Water Shortage: Due to extreme cold weather causing interruptions at the water treatment plant, Johnston County has declared a temporary water shortage advisory. Johnston County Public Utilities is asking all customers to immediately refrain from all non-essential uses. In addition , customers should check for plumbing leaks on frozen pipes and plumbing as they thaw. The County expects the water shortage advisory to last no longer than 24-48 hours. Staff is working to correct the problem and restore normal operations.
